This month we spoke with Ben Launt, CFO of Toronto Workers Club.

Toronto Workers Club is the premier club on the west side of Lake Macquarie with over 12,000 members and a wide range of facilities including excellent dining options, an impressive gaming floor, 18 hole golf course, function facilities, bowling greens, and tennis courts. Known for its strong link to local community and sporting groups, the Club offers a second to none Loyalty Program. They are currently building a retirement village on their doorstep called “Elements of Toronto”, which will offer a popular lifestyle option for over 55’s.

You’ve been a long term customer of SENPOS. What do you like most about partnering with SENPOS?

We like that SENPOS is evolving and moving forward with the products they offer, unlike many other POS providers who are being left behind. The new SENPOS Kiosk offering is a great example of this. On top of this, I have to give the support team a big endorsement! I’m on a first name basis with most of them and we are constantly thinking of new ways to do things and we work closely with the team to find the best ways to go about what we want to achieve.Toronto workers SENPOS

What features of the SENPOS system do you benefit from the most?

The Point of Sale is a major way in which we interact with our members, which is why it’s one of the most important aspects of the POS system. Promotions and ‘at the till’ messaging play a major role in this. A key benefit of SENPOS is how flexible it can be in this process and just how many ways you can go about putting something in place because it’s great to have options when you are trying to achieve specific objectives.

You’ve recently installed a SENPOS Members Kiosk at the Country Club.
In what ways are you using the Kiosk?Toronto country club SENPOS

A big challenge we have at the Country Club is converting the great on-course usage to patronage inside the actual club-house. We are currently using the Kiosk as a check-in point in the club with members having a chance to win points every day by swiping their members’ card. We also use the Kiosk as an information hub for course conditions, upcoming events and golf competitions. We are currently restricted by the sites slow internet speed but have plenty of ideas to implement once this is resolved which we look forward to implementing.
