Well after another unexpected and disrupted year, what I reflect on the most at the close of 2021, is the SENPOS team’s ability to rise to a difficult challenge.
Resilience to me is the ability to come out the other side of a situation better than when you went in, especially when you experience situations that are out of your control and that you have little time to prepare for. Our team has certainly shown resilience to the highest degree this year and I thank them for this.
Taking what we learnt during the pandemic in 2020, lockdown in 2021 was used as a time to focus on some key areas of improvement within the business. One key area was an identified gap in our self-help resources. The Support team pulled together, developed a project plan and in consultation with our customers produced the online SENPOS Learning Hub. The SENPOS Learning Hub is an extensive searchable knowledge-based tool that can provide guidance and help with the most common areas of the SENPOS software. It gives our support customers greater ability to help themselves in achieving what they need from the software, bringing about efficiencies and resolution to the most common questions.
Given that our team could not travel for a period, we also achieved for the first time in our 35-year history, several remote system installations. Once again, both our team and our customers understood what needed to happen and we achieved the outcomes that were required. Sure, there were a few hiccups along the way, however, we learnt an efficient new way of doing things and can now replicate this process for future installations when faced with similar roadblocks.
For many of our customers, it’s been another year filled with COVID-related challenges, and like us, you may face the prospect of more to come. As your partner in POS, we aim to assist you in whatever challenges may arise, by offering both our support services and by innovating our product to accommodate the changing face of the hospitality industry.
