In February, Newcastle’s Cross Keys Hotel (Cross Keys) has officially opened following almost a year of major renovations. At the helm are Corey and Kristy Crooks, known for their popular craft beer restaurant, the Grain Store. The Cross Keys Hotel, a building with over 100 years of history, has been carefully renovated to honour its heritage while embracing a modern look. Stylish art deco details and custom brand touches, from the logo monogram carpet to the 3D Cross Keys logo, stand for the signature “Clothesline Bacon”, highlight the venue’s thoughtful design.
Paying homage to Newcastle and its local legends, the space features a signature mural titled “Local Legends” by a local artist, celebrating icons across sports, music, and media, such as Andrew & Matthew Johns and Silverchair. The venue also introduces a fresh take on social gaming, with custom tabletops for Chess and Scrabble plus a games corner, all designed to encourage patrons to interact and play during their visit.
With a clear focus on craft beer, quality food, and an inviting atmosphere, the Cross Keys Hotel has been designed to welcome patrons of all ages.
