Australian Olympics fans can cheer our athletes live during major events at the Paris Games, thanks to the NSW Government’s Special Event Extended Trading.
During selected 2024 Paris Olympics events, clubs, pubs and bars across NSW can trade in the early hours of the morning if they screen these events. To accommodate the eight-hour time difference between Paris and Sydney, patrons can watch local athletes and teams amongst the camaraderie of their local venue. The 2024 Paris Olympics will host more than 460 Australians competing in 329 events until 11 August.
Last Friday the Minister for Music and the Night-time Economy, John Graham announced that “All NSW pubs, clubs and bars are eligible venues for the Olympics extended trading hours, and do not need to apply individually to open when they screen the Games live”.
